Sharing a redo project

I am a big fan of taking something old and making it new or reusable. A few years ago, my husband built me a shelf to house my cricut cartridges and before we knew it, I had outgrown it. I swear when he built it, he thought it would take a long time to fill up! Boy was he wrong. Well it sit in the garage for a while and the other day I told him I needed something for my ribbon rolls that had outgrown the storage unit they were in. I sketched out how I wanted it and then we remembered the cartridge rack and measured out where to put the holes and went on and created just what I sketched out with very little effort. It has eight dowels and it will hold lots of ribbon, at least right now lol. Tomorrow, I will show you another redo project. I love looking for things to make useful again!

  3. Diane, I had to chuckle when I saw your ribbon rack. I had DH make me one very similar but I got tired of taking the rods out to get to a specific ribbon roll. He finally cut slanted grooves in the front so I can just slide the whole row out and take the ribbon I want. Enjoy it, it makes life a little more organized1

    TFS!
