Just a Note project

Happy Saturday all!  First off, I am a Cricut girl and always will be, but open to other things.  My daughter in law Jessica gave me a Silhouette Portrait machine to play with.  I had made up my mind I was not going to like it, but unfortunately,  that was not the case no matter how much I kept telling myself that!  To the point that my husband bought me the big Cameo.  Now it is not going to replace my Cricut what's so ever, but just another way to create!  I made my first project for my friend Emily who is a teacher.  I made this cute note card box and note cards and envelopes.  I got this svg from SVGCUTS and it is a part of the Back to the Books set.  There are so many cute things in this set. They have great videos to show you how to put the project together and how to use the machine.  I am still learning, but feel really good about creating with it.   I will try to do a project with the Cameo every Saturday.  There are lots of sites to get free images and next week I will be featuring another place with their cute svgs.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Time For Another Challenge At Exploring Cricut

Welcome to another challenge over at Exploring Cricut. This challenge is Cricut Choice!  You are to create a card, layout, or paper craft with any cricut cartridge you want, but include at least 2 cuts.    I decide to make a match game for my little granddaughter.  I used the Create a Critter cartridge.  I decided on that one because the layers were not complicated to do on a smaller scale.  I cut all the animals at 2.5 inches each and used the frog, bunny, bear, pig, tiger, duck, raccoon, dog, mouse, cat, penquin, and hippo.  I made 2 of each.  The box and 3 x 3 chipboard pieces were from Close to My Heart and the paper and card stock from Michaels.  For the label on the front, I just made a computer typed Animal Match Game and used a punch for the label.  I can't believe I only used one cartridge for this lol.  This is a challenge that everyone can enter so please link by Saturday.  I am giving a Mystery Prize along with our Top 3 Crafter Button.  Hope to see your creation!!!

Krafting with Katie Today!

This weekend my granddaughter Katie came for a visit and she always wants to craft. I am lucky that both of my granddaughters like crafting since it is one of my favorite past times. Today Katie wanted to make a box so she looked through all the cartridges and decided on making the tool box from Sweet Treat Boxes. She quickly found out boxes are not easy! She decided to add some tools to her little box too using the Handy Man cartridge and added her name with the Alphalicious cartridge. Below the pictures are the measurements and cuts.
