A few new things

I love watching the videos on new techniques in cardmaking and scrapbooking so I am totally hooked on watching a favorite site each week to see what the new design is for the week. I did the cards for the last three weeks with different techniques. This first one is Joseph's coat and it was so easy to do. The picture does not really show the detail, but I will be doing some others for my store soon with some of the new stamps I ordered.

This is a easy card by just inking my cuttlebug folder to get a nice effect on the embossed design.

This is just stamp markers spritzed with water to give the watercolor look. This was so easy after I got a mini mister!

This is our September calendar page this month at the store. You can't see from the picture, but the white on the leaf is outlined for journaling.

A Couple Cards for Sunday Evening

I felt so good after a wonderful day with family and friends at our granddaughter Peyton's dedication that I was inspired for a couple cards this evening. I should be working on other projects for the store, but I will do that later. I used some stamps that I got from Close to My Heart...thanks Allison for enabling!

This card was done with the Cuttlebug and I stamped this flower 3 times and cut each layer and pop with popdots to make it dimensional. Looks so much better in person.

A card for Granddaughters dedication

Our granddaughter Peyton is having her dedication at church on Sunday and this is the card I made for her. I used the Cuttlebug dotted swiss embossing folder and the cross from Indie Art. The pearls on the card are from Kaiser Crafts and the ribbon and accents were in my stash. It is much prettier in person, it is so hard to get a good picture when it is all white!

Hopefully, my creative juices are coming back!

I have been in a little creative fog lately and mostly because of everything I have had going on at the store and life in general. For some reasons there is not enough time in the day to do everything I would like to accomplish! Last night I finally got in the mood and did a few projects and hopefully, this trend continues!

Love this birthday paper and stickers from Studio 8 papers. I used a sketch in my collection for the inspiration and to help motivate me again. Love all these colors, now to find Kate's birthday pictures and get this thing completed!
I love scraps and this is a quickie I made with some pieces I had left.
One of the favorites of mine tonight and this was using a couple of Hero Arts stamps.
I love Martha Stewart punches and this was a quick card with a couple of them.
I did this card for the color challenge this time at Whimiscal Scraps and Bugs. We had to use the colors brown, sky blue, pumpkin, green and white. Hard to see, but the flowers are dimensional with a little stickles on them!

Another Month of fun!

I can't believe that we are halfway through August already! Time is going so fast and it seems like there is not enough hours in the day to get anything accomplished. I have been in a creative slump this last week with lots of projects being pitched in the trash basket! I think a good rest will help since it has been awhile since I have done that. Here are a few projects that I have completed lately. I have several on my agenda to get done as soon as the mojo kicks back in!!!

This was for a challenge on Whimiscal Scraps and Bugs last time. I love this paper and was perfect for my project.
Every month at the store I do a calendar page and make the elements for it too. I used Lifes a Beach for this page and that is one of my favorite cartridges, of course, they are all my favorites.

A simple "Back to School" page with paper from Adornit and of course, the Cricut.

Another quick and easy page for school.

This is just a cheap dollar store notebook and pen I covered with paper as a added project for my school display for the store.

I went to the thrift store and found this jar. I sanded the wood lid and painted it. I cut letters from the Cricut and made a cute little rewards jar with some ribbon added around the neck of it.
