Scrap Room Updated!!!!

I went to Ikea and got a new desk and some cabinets to finish organizing all my goodies so I wanted to share my room before I totally destroy it working again lol. These cabinets in front of my desk are from Ikea and match my desk and I love them.  They are big and hold lots of goodies.
This is a wall of Michaels storage units which I love for my papers and cardstock.  I found the shelf above the one cabines at a yard sale for $4 and I store my CTMH inks in them along with odds and ends.
My house is old and it had a fireplace and a small "press" as they use to call them.  I took the mantle off and build book case and trimmed out the closet to have shelves.
Love my Ikea desk.  The side putls out for my laptop and I have the top for my machines.

We went back to get another cabinet and they were out of black so I went ahead and got a white one.  We live about 75 miles from the nearest Ikea.  The shelf with ribbon roll my husband built. On the top of the white one I have my large pieces of scraps in one bin and the small in the other by colors.

My husband built these shelves for my wood stamps.
I got my cabinets and counter tops at Lowes unfinished and I had my husband cut me a hole for my scraps and we fixed the trash can to slide so I could catch them all.
More Micheals cabinets.  I love all the storage and believe me they are all full.
Old shelf holds my punches or some of them lol.

Thanks for visiting my scraproom and time to get creative!!!!

It's Challenge Time at Exploring Cricut!

Time for a challenge over at Exploring Cricut. This week the challenge is to create a bag, tag, or box and include a ribbon.  It is a fun challenge and just let your imagination and your Cricut cartridges get busy!!!  Since in a couple months, my oldest son is going to turn 40, still trying to figure out how he got so old!, and I decided to make a Over the Hill bag and gift card.  I will put a little gag gift in it since the boys like money for their birthdays now that they are older.  I used the cartridge Life's a Party.  I customed the mat Over the Hill at 7.5 x 9.5 to fit the bag I got at the Dollar Tree.  I cut the Big 40 at 5 inches and the little gift card at 3.5.  I used cardstock from Michaels and ribbons that I had in my stash.  I stickled the 40 and popped it up.  Join us by Saturday, March 1 and link your project.

Silhouette Saturday with Silhouette Online

Welcome to my Saturday Silhouette project. I am really pleased with how my first split letter turned out. I bought the K monogram at the Silhouette Online Store and it is #54900 from Snapdragon Snippets and the corner flourishes are called Art Nouveau heart #3413 by Samantha Walker.  This was my first time at welding and it took a few times but I finally got it right.  The font in the middle is Times Roman.  I bought this 12 x 12 tile at Lowes for .70!!!  I used Oracle 651 vinyl from Expressions Vinyl on this project.  Can you tell I am loving my Silhouette Cameo!!!  More projects coming soon.  I just purchased several files and can't wait to get creative!

Silhouette Saturday with My Scrap Chick

Welcome to another great Silhouette share with you. I will finish off my Valentine project by sharing some great files with you.  This cute gift bag was made from a Dollar Tree shiny bag, sorry for reflection.  The title is from the Silhouette store, but the cute littler Cupid is My Scrap Chick's Cupid Belly Box.  Instead of making it a box, I just used it as a bag decoration.  The second is a cute card and it is from a file called Cupid Card.  This card took me all of 10 minutes to cut and put together.  I love my Silhouette Cameo!!! Be sure to stop over to www.myscrapchick.com for some fantastic svg files.

Happy Valentine's Day

Love is in the air today and a great day to share a couple Valentine cards I made using files from SVG CUTS. I love their files and they are always easy to put together.  The first one is called "Bee Mine" and is a pop up card with a heart in the center. I just stamped the heart with a $1 stamp I got at Michaels a few years ago.  The second card is also a pop up card with I love you on the inside.  Both were fun to make!  Stop by and check out all their wonderful designs at www.svgcuts.com
