New challenge at Exploring Cricut

Today we are starting a new challenge at Exploring Cricut. It is called "Food Frenzy" Create a card, layout, or papercraft using an item of food cut with the cricut. You can do any theme or colors, just let your imagination go wild. This week my granddaughter Peyton who is 2 1/2 years old came to stay with me one day and we had some bananas that need to be made into muffins. She loves banana muffins and she loves to help. She peeled the bananas, smashed them, (her terms) put them in the batter, taste the batter when nana went to get the pans, put in pan and bake. This is how she described to her Dad on how she baked muffins complete with hand gestures, but he was on the phone lol. Her favorite part was eating them when they were finished. For this project I used the cartridges Everyday Paper Dolls, Create a Critter, Preserves, and From My Kitchen. Below the picture are the measurements.

Muffin cut at 4.5 inches-Paper Dolls for Everyday

Great challenge at Papercutz this week!

This week at Papercutz the challenge is called "Gobble Gobble" and you are to make a card, layout, or papercraft incorporating a recipe for one of your favorite Thanksgiving dishes. I decided to make a recipe board. I love thrift stores so I found this frame and told my husband to get me a piece of tin cut to fit. I painted the frame black and the tin white. I made the magnets from cricut and copied my favorite recipe on a card. Below are pictures and the directions along with this yummy recipe for Pumpkin Roll Cupcakes. Please be sure to sign up for my email updates on the side of this blog.

This is the finished project of my recipe and these are so good too and easier than pumpkin roll.

I found this cupcake pan from Debbie Meyer that has this thing that makes the holes in the cupcake while it bakes. Makes it so easy to fill!

I used the cartridges From My Kitchen

recipes cut @2.50 x 5.25 out of vinyl

pie cut @3.5

rolling pin cut @ 4.75

cupcake cut @ 3.25

cake cut @ 2.75

From the cartridge Preserves

cherry cut @ 2.75

I used bazzill cardstock and put a magnet on the back
