I thought I would keep my daily project at Exploring Cricut in our theme of "Disney Dreaming" this week. I created a autograph book for my granddaughter to take with her to Disney when she goes. I used the cartridges Mickey and Friends and Mickey Font. I made the book cover 6.5 x 4.5 inches and covered with some scraps from my layout pages yesterday. I made the inside pages 4 x 6 and left them plain. She can get autographs and then I will make scrapbook pages and include them with pictures. I cut the letters and shadow at .75 inches from Mickey Font and the heads cut at 2 inches and the bow at 1.25 inches from Mickey and Friends. Be sure to enter our challenge this week too!

A week of cleaning....
As much as I would like to do nothing but craft, I find myself in need of redoing my craft room and reorganizing again. I keep things together, but sometimes when I am working on a lot of projects things get haywire! So when I started organizing, I decided to start purging out stuff I haven't used or not planning on using. Right now I am trying to get ready and put things on ebay. My husband saw what I was doing and has decided that maybe we can clean out some closets too that there has got to be lots of stuff in there! So now what I thought would be a small project might turn into a larger one, but my plans are to make some money and buy more scrap stuff!!!! I better get back to sorting so I can soon get back to crafting!! Hope everyone has a crafty week. Should have some things to be listed on Friday and my ebay name is dianek if you are looking for something. Got some stamps and other craft items, not sure what all I will have by that day!

Christmas in July
I started this layout a couple days ago, but chores got in the way and it took more time to finish. I used some non traditional colors for this and like how it turned out. I used the cartridges Out of Character which is a Circle Exclusive and Teresa Collins Christmas Ornaments digital. I cut everything at 3 inches. I love all the layers on all the cuts and used cardstock to match the Basic Grey papers I had in my stash. Be sure to enter your "Christmas in July" projects in the Exploring Cricut challenge that ends tonight!

Another Christmas project
I have another project to share with our "Christmas in July" theme. I made a couple of tags using the digital cartridge Holiday Gift Tags. I cut both of them and the layers at 3 inches and stamped with something in my stamp collection. These are super easy and now is the time to get some things made ahead. There are 6 different tags on this digital set. Be sure to enter our challenge over at Exploring Cricut this week too!

Most of our DT will be giving something away this week too! Now for the Tuesday daily project. I am going along with the theme of Christmas in July and created ornaments using old cds. I always save those that come in the mail or any bad ones to use for craft projects. I am showing pictures of how I did this. I used the cartridges Very Merry Tags, Winter Frolic, Winter Woodland and Paper Doll Dressup for my cuts. Below the pictures are the measurements. Be sure to enter our "Christmas in July" challenge this week.
Just start with some old cds, using you get some in the mail or have some old ones.
I covered mine with scor tape because it holds so well and works great to hold the paper.
Smooth out paper and trim around the edges with scissors or a craft knife.
I just punched a hole with my crop-a-dial.....that is one awesome tool for sure! Now you are ready to decorate however you like! I have added pictures before too. Now for my sizes

It's a Christmas in July Blog Hop
Welcome to the Christmas in July Blog Hop challenge from Exploring Cricut. If you came here from Georgiana's, your in the right place. By now you have visited a few of the DT's blogs and saw some awesome projects and some great blog candy. This may be the last spot, but I have some goodies too ! My project for this challenge is making a useable Christmas decoration from a couple of thrift store bargains. I bought this cube picture holder for $1.50 and this candle stick for .25. I love it when I find something like this and I knew right away what I was going to make! First, I cleaned them really good and gave them a base coat of white paint and glued the candle stick to the photo cube. I cut my designs from Inspired Heart cartridge and cut my image at 4 inches in black paper. The other 3 sides have cuts too, but I will show the one that is more Christmas. The others can be used at Easter or as a nice decoration. I then cut vellum to fit inside and glued the black image to it. You can put a flameless candle or LED small light inside for the glow. Below are pictures . Be sure to check out my blog candy too! To win, all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post and I will pick a winner via random.org on Saturday when the challenge closes and will announce on Sunday . After you are finished here, be sure to enter the challenge on the Exploring Cricut blog for a chance to win there too! If you somehow missed some of our DT, there is a list at the bottom of this post and you can get to them. Thanks for joining our blog hop.

Thursday Share!
I have been busy working in my craft room and if you looked inside you would think a tornado hit it!! I have a challenge and daily project coming up the first of the week and wanted to finish up my oldest angel girl Mary-Kate's 2010 album. This is the last layouts I had to do and I put it off because I was not sure what to do. She had a dance recital and they danced to a Hannah Montana song so I thought I would country it a little. They wore flannel shirts and jeans so I made my layout look plaid. Used a little country fonts and it turned out ok. Not real thrilled, but this one was hard. I used the cartridges Hannah Montana , Old West, and County Fair. Below the picture are the cut measurements. My second project is a picture of two of my grandchildren while on vacation at Hilton Head this year. I wanted a new picture for my beachy bathroom so this is what I came up with and used Life's a Beach.
Hannah Montana -title Dance Recital cut at 1.25 inches
title Hannah Montana cut at 2.5 inche
Old West- rope border customized in gypsy at 11 x 11.5 inches
rope letter Kicking it up and country style cut at 1.25 inches
County Fair- boot cut at 3.25 inches
Paper by Hobby Lobby and Michaels cardstock
Life's a Beach-shells cut at 2 inches
sea horse cut at 3.25 inches
geeko cut at 2.5 inches
Paper Close to My Heart Footloose collection
Cardstock Close to My Heart.

One of those days!
Have you ever been crafted out?? Well I have been doing so many projects for the last few weeks that I felt like maybe that happen to me. Monday was the last day my husband was home on vacation which was a stayvacation to do work around the house, but Monday it was just some mowing for him and laundry for me. We had that completed by noon and decided to just relax the rest of the day. I ventured to my craft room ready to get busy on something to show you today, but my mind went blank. I decided to head to the deck and chill out for a while and get myself back on the crafting track. Had some dinner and went back to craft room. Nothing, nadda, so picked up a couple cartridges looked through the books hoping to spark something even to make a card, but nothing. Looked at a few more cartridges, still brain dead. What the heck, tomorrow is another day so off to veg in front of the TV. Hopefully, today will be a crafting day!

A new card
This week a dear friend to me lost her father and I wanted to make a card to send to her family. The cricut circle weekly challenge is to create a card from this sketch and I loved the idea and decided to use it as the basis for my card. I used Art Philosophy for all the cuts and used Close to My Heart papers and cardstock since my friend sells it too. The stamp is from my collection.
I will be entering it the circle challenge too.

Happy 4th of July and Project at Exploring Cricut
Happy 4th of July to all our friends. I am filling in at Exploring Cricut today for Jessica who is moving this weekend and she will be back on our next challenge. I know she will be anxious to get crafting in her new room! Today I have created a variety of projects to share. I used the cartridges Independence Day, Stand and Salute, and Holiday Cakes. Below each picture I will describe what I did. Be sure to enter our Red, White and Blue 4th challenge too!
This is a picture of everything all put together on my mantle and I like it, makes it festive!
Banner was created using the cartridge Independence Day cut at 9 inches. I did cut it out in chipboard first and then with cardstock and pattern papers in my stash. I wanted it to last.

This is the center of the banner and this piece was actually from something I got when I had my scrapbook store and figured I would use it someday. I did add the title on it. There is a cut on the cartridge that you can create the same effect.
I have seen several versions of blocks on Pinterest and this is my version. I had my husband cut me some of the scraps I make him keep in the garage (you never know when you will need them!) and I painted them and then took some sand paper along the edges. The blue paint was a little brighter than I wanted, but it was all I had and was too lazy to run to Walmart! The stars on the blue piece are from Independence Day cut at 4.5 inches and cut with vinyl and the sayings were both from Stand and Salute also cut with vinyl at 1.25 inches.
I was a little disappointed with my candy jar because it was so hard to photograph and I tried lots of ways so just left it alone. I cut from vinyl the star border from Holiday Cakes at 7 inches and made two to go around this jar and then I frosted the whole jar with etch cream. I went to the Dollar Tree and got the mints which have little flags on them!
No cricut here, just cut square pieces of paper and made my own pinwheels since I did not need many and put them on skewers from the dollar store.
I took my candles and cut paper to fit around and made it 1.5 inches and added the star from Stand and Salute cut at 2.25 inches. Hope you liked my 4th of July projects. I did try to make the Uncle Sam hat from one of the digitals, but could not get it right so gave up! Maybe next year.
I will be entering my project in a few challenges too!
