Our December Display

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I actually had a little time to work on some projects and have many more in the works to be finished this weekend. My December display at the store has not been completely finished, but will all be ready by Monday. Here are a few of the things I have finished so far.

December calendar page. I love that I have completed an entire calendar!
Cute paper and stickers from Paper Loft. I love this paper and Santa's beard has some fun flock on it.

I wish I could have gotten a better picture of this because it looks much better in person. I love the Fancy Pants papers I used on it.

A few Christmas Cards from Card Club

I am behind in my scrapping and need to finish last years Christmas pictures before I do this Christmas. Here are a couple pages that I did for those pictures. I also have some cards on here that we did in our Card Class this month at the store. We used Hero Arts stamps called Holiday Cheer. The first 4 cards are the ones I prepared for the class to do and the others are examples. I want to thank Birds Cards for the digital poinsettia stamp used on one of my cards. I had several poinsettia stamps, but not just right for this card and hers was perfect.

This card is gold and the camera I had with me today is not that great, sorry for the bad picture.
We embossed on this card and it looks so good in person.

This is my card that I did from the new stamp tv set and this is the example that Gina K did for the week. Love the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper. I should have it in my store soon!

I used some stamps for this card that one of my friend brought me and this was my first attempt at using multiple stamps for an image.

Been awhile since my last post...

It's been awhile since I last posted, but I have been really busy doing cards for the store for our monthly card club. I have many projects in the works and one is cleaning this messy craft room!
It seems like it gets a mess so fast, but I guess that means I am being productive. I will be posting my cards tomorrow evening after work. I just got home from one class and we have another one on Thursday night. Here is a couple projects I did for Whimsical Scraps and Bugs that I am on their design team. Love those challenges. Be sure to check out their blog.

A Great Weekend

Had a great time with my grandchildren from Lexington this weekend and my granddaughter Mary-Kate is a crafting fool like her Nana. She loves her Cuttlekids machine and she made several cards for her friends and her cousin Peyton who was sick and could not come and play with her.

This is my challenge page for Whimsical Scraps and Bugs. It was a 3, 2, 1 challenge where we had to use three colors, two stars and a stamped image. I love the Peachy Keen stamps so I used two of the halloween images because I could not decide what one to use! I will work on more projects tonight after I rest up from playing with the kids and a long week at the store!

Just a few new goodies!

This is my challenge over to Whimiscal Scraps and Bugs. We were to use the lyrics of a song on this challenge and since we have the balloon race come to Maysville every year, I thought this would be perfect. I cut the balloon using George circles and ovals. It made it look dimensional.

Halloween is coming and so is some of the neat ideas we can make for the holiday decoratiing. I have a few here so take a look. I will be getting more things made up this week and upload them.

This is a cute treat bag that I made using torn strips of cardstock and inking the edges. I added wiggley eyes for a fun look.

Cute little chipboard book using Paperdolls Dressup Cartridge. I love that one for Halloween!

A couple pages using Bo Bunny papers and stickers. I love Bo Bunny!

At the store, we do a calendar page each month and this one is a quick page using the new Bo Bunny Halloween papers and of course, Paperdoll Dressup cartridge!

A new layout....

Here is a cute layout I did for my challenge over at Whimsical Scraps and Bugs. This is my new granddaughter Peyton Grace. She has the most beautiful blue eyes and her daycare took this picture so of course I had to scrap it. I used Doodlebug pattern papers, bazzill cardstock and used Plantin Schoolbook for the flowers and title.

My Scrappin Space at Home!

We have been working on my scrap space at home and it is coming together pretty good. We need to do a few more things and I need another cabinet for the wall above my cricut counter. I am still collecting jet max cubes and will replace a metal cabinet I have in the room. This is my 8 ft counter where I can work. I keep my cutter at the end and a large trash basket to catch all the pieces. The shelves hold my ribbon, brads, flowers and other misc items.

This is the end of that same counter with my punches stored in shoe bag hanging on the door.

Another look at that 8 foot counter space. I bought unfinished cabinets and counter tops at Lowes.

I have a bay window in the front of this room so I put some good blinds so the sun would not shine in and fade anything. I have a few jet max cubes here and a cabinet I got at a yard sale for $5.00 and my husband painted it. Here is where my cartridges are stored in a cabinet that my husband built which is full and I had to put one of the solution storage on the top. Time for a bigger cabinet because I am not going to stop getting cartridges!!!

I live in a old house and this use to be a "press". We took a old book case and built it into that space and trimmed it out so it looks like it was a part of the wall. I store my BIA and Cuttlebug, trimmers and other misc in this space. I use to store albums here, but I have way too many. Right now, they are in the hall waiting on Joe to build me a large bookcase for them.

This is my 6 ft Cricut counter. I have lots of space to spread out and work. I have two cabinets under the counter that have drawers that are completely full of stuff!

This is the cricut space showing the stickle, embossing powder, glitter shelf Joe built me. It started out for stamps, but I had way too many so he built me another large one. He is going to make another one of these to put on the other side of this wall.

This is my stamping area. I have a 4ft counter there and two 4 ft shelf units for my stamps. I have all my clear stamps in drawers under the counter. I love this so I can just work on cards here.

Another shot of my stamp space. I have it all filled up so not sure where more stamps will go!

This is my jet max cubes. I have 9 of them here for papers, stamps, embellishment etc. Beside the cubes are 12 x 12 storage boxes that have all my cardstock scraps stored by color. My pattern paper scraps are stored in boxes under the 6ft counter area. I also have my tv and dvr player on top. I bought a shelf at Lowes to fit on top. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my scrappin space. It is still a work in progress, but getting closer to what I need.

A few new things

I love watching the videos on new techniques in cardmaking and scrapbooking so I am totally hooked on watching a favorite site each week to see what the new design is for the week. I did the cards for the last three weeks with different techniques. This first one is Joseph's coat and it was so easy to do. The picture does not really show the detail, but I will be doing some others for my store soon with some of the new stamps I ordered.

This is a easy card by just inking my cuttlebug folder to get a nice effect on the embossed design.

This is just stamp markers spritzed with water to give the watercolor look. This was so easy after I got a mini mister!

This is our September calendar page this month at the store. You can't see from the picture, but the white on the leaf is outlined for journaling.

A Couple Cards for Sunday Evening

I felt so good after a wonderful day with family and friends at our granddaughter Peyton's dedication that I was inspired for a couple cards this evening. I should be working on other projects for the store, but I will do that later. I used some stamps that I got from Close to My Heart...thanks Allison for enabling!

This card was done with the Cuttlebug and I stamped this flower 3 times and cut each layer and pop with popdots to make it dimensional. Looks so much better in person.

A card for Granddaughters dedication

Our granddaughter Peyton is having her dedication at church on Sunday and this is the card I made for her. I used the Cuttlebug dotted swiss embossing folder and the cross from Indie Art. The pearls on the card are from Kaiser Crafts and the ribbon and accents were in my stash. It is much prettier in person, it is so hard to get a good picture when it is all white!
