Some new challenges this week.

I decided to get into a couple more challenges this week even though I am really busy trying to catch up a couple years I am behind in scrapbooking! Not sure I will ever catch up, but we will see. At least I will never run out of things to do. This first card is for Card Patterns sketch #82. Just click on their name above and have some fun with the sketch. My mother-in-law had open heart surgery yesterday so this is a card I made for her. I just used scraps for it. This next card is for Mojo Mondays #157 weekly sketch. I chose some Fall papers I got in a stack at Joann's. I usually do not do fall cards, but loved this paper. I participated in a mini autumn album swap and used this stack so these were some leftover scraps.

Paper Cutz Challenge #59

This challenge was really a challenge for me! Come on over to Paper Cutz and join the fun of this weeks challenge. Make a card, layout, or craft project for Halloween using any colors you like EXCEPT, NO orange or black. For me, this was fun. I had some paper that a friend had given me a stack of that was Halloween and it is had this purple and lime green paper. I used the Mini Monsters for the cutouts of the monster and ghost. They are popped up on the side of the bag and I used stickles on the title and the eyes of the cut outs. The title was also from Mini Monsters. Follow the link above and join in the fun this week!

Paper Cutz Challenge #58

Happy Friday! Hope everyone is going to have a super weekend. Stop on over to Paper Cutz and join this weeks challenge. Your challenge is to use a tag or tags anyway you want! It is a great, but simple challenge so please join in the fun! I decided to do my challenge in the form of a mini tag album with pictures of my granddaughter Peyton's first birthday. I used bright primary colors and used several images from the Doodlecharms cartridge. It was a simple album that I folded the 6 x 12 paper into 3 inch sections and cut the top to a tag form and decorated the front and back. I just used paper and stickers that were in my stash and this is a easy way to use up some old things and still create something special. I hope you like my tag book! Paper Cutz Challenge #57

This is my first week participating for the Paper Cutz Design Team and for Challenge #57 you make a card, layout,or craft project using 1 ribbon, 2 buttons, and 3 colors on any theme you like. I used Close to my Heart Felicity papers, two patterns with oranges, greens, browns and creams. I also used green cardstock and rust cardstock. I used two brown buttons on top of two clear buttons that I covered with the plaid paper in the layout. I used a brown grosgrain ribbon to finish it off. I used two cricut cartridges for the cuts. The title was used with the Pooh Font, and the turkey with Doodlecharms. This is my granddaughter Mary-Kate at Thanksgiving last year helping with stuffing the turkey and adding the spices. She loves to help out in the kitchen, but will stop and give the model pose with taking pictures. Please follow this link to Paper Cutz and join in this weeks challenge. Paper Cutz Design Team

I am excited to have been chosen for the Paper Cutz Design Team. Be sure to go and check out the wonderful site and follow the challenges each Friday. I am working on my first challenge now and you can see it next Friday. Be sure to see what Mary has for this week. I love challenges and they get you so motivated!!! The grandchildren are coming tomorrow to stay all night and tonight I am having some fun at my house with my scrapping friends. What more can a girl ask for!!!!

Some new cards!

I haven't practiced my Copic marker technique that we learned at our first class for a few days so I thought I better get to it since my teacher (Hi Lori) will be checking to see if I am doing anything before our next class. She gave us our colors for the next class so I thought I would try them out and I had a couple other purples and forgot to write down which ones I used. I will do better next time. I know these star lilies are not this color, but it is my card so I can do what I want!!! I have two cards done and have been working on my granddaughters first birthday pages this week and need to get my room back in order. Hope you enjoy this cards and I am a work in progress with these Copics!!!

New Challenge card

Mary over to Paper Cutz is having a challenge #55 to do anything you want either card or layout. I needed a kids birthday card and this was a fast and easy one to do. I love the Mickey cartridge.
